Another Denton Shipment has been successfully completed and we look forward to continuing God's work at Lifeline and beyond its walls in 2009. Here are some issues that are on the fore front of the needs list for this year. 1. There is need for prayer that God will continue to provide for all of the needs of his work in Haiti and at Lifeline. That his kingdom would be greatly expanded in this land. 2. The girls restroom project is in the beginning stages and will need additional finances to complete. The need is $6,000 to complete. 3. The razor wire security on the top of the perimeter wall will need to be completed. Additional razor wire cost is $2,500. 4. There is a need for a heavy duty truck for Lifeline to do heavy hauling, receiving shipments, and making trips into the mountains. We will be looking for a good used cab forward 2 1/2 ton truck (GMC or Isuzu diesel). We would set it up here in Kansas and send it on the next Denton Shipment. No handle on cost yet. $10,000 to $15,000 estimate. 5. With the vision of continuing large shipments to Lifeline, there is vision for doubling the size of the warehouse. Handling these shipments when they arrive at the orphanage is a man killer. This years shipment was 36 tons. We are allowed to send up to 50 tons. We will also be looking for a fork lift to send on the next Denton Shipment to move cargo and stack skids in the warehouse when shipments arrive at Lifeline. $5,000 to $7,000 est. 6. School sponsorship for children leaving Lifeline but staying in Haiti. Cost is $100 per month for 9 month school term. Up to 3 year commitment. Two children in need (One of the two has just recently received sponsorship) One more still in need. 7. Two new solar panels to replace the two that were stolen. $800 to $1,000 est. (Additional security is in place) 8. Continuing support for the monthly operating costs of Lifeline. PS The orphanage mattress project has been completed including plastic mattress covers for all beds. Haiti Lifeline Ministries is a 501/C3 corporation and is a 100% voluntary organization. There are no administrative costs. John for Haiti Lifeline Ministries
