School
In the United States and most other countries education is a government requirement for all children. But in Haiti it is a privilege even to receive the basic skills of education.
At Centre Children International Life Line d'Haiti not only the children who live at the orphanage are given an education but about 250 village children are as well.
With small classrooms, large numbers of children and little or no supplies, the teachers struggle to teach even the basics.
The future of Haiti, as in any country, lies in the minds, hearts, and hands of the children.
Haiti Lifeline Ministries' support is making it possible for the children to learn to read, to write and to grow in knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Perhaps one day in the future one or more of these children will be able to help stablize the economy and bring hope for future generations of Haitians.
Clinic
There are wonderful doctor, nurses and other medical personnel in Haiti. But the people who need their care the most find it almost impossible to get to them or to pay for their services.
The Community Clinic opened by Haiti Lifeline Ministries on the compound provides much-needed medical care for some of the poorest people in the world. As they come walking down from their mountain huts they line up and wait their turn to see either one of the nurses or the doctor who come to minister at the clinic.
Some of the services provided by the clinic are:
- Feeding program
- Prenatal care
- Pharmacy
Water Supply
There are other programs which are run by Centre Children International Life Line d'Haiti to meet the needs of the village, such as the feeding program and potable water provision. Without the potable water provision many villagers would not have access to water supply.
